Our Story
Mama ZaZa’s was founded by 7-year-old Azza (ZaZa) and her mother with a simple mission: to share the feeling of biting into delicious, thoughtfully packaged home baked treats with Nairobians. Born in Oakland, California, ZaZa has been baking with her mother since she was 2 years old. When ZaZa and her family moved to Nairobi in 2014, they started baking chocolate chip cookies to deal with homesickness, and because there weren’t any soft and chewy cookies around. After lots of encouragement from friends and family the duo jumped into the homebaking business and Mama ZaZa’s was born!
